Tenant Based Rental Assistance

 

 

Short-Term Rental Assistance Program

The Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) Program is offering short-term rental assistance for low-income households economically impacted by COVID-19. This means assistance with rent for three months with an opportunity to receive an additional 3 months of assistance.  

If your household has been impacted by reduced income due to COVID, complete this TBRA Application and send it back to CVCAA. 

In order for your application to be considered you must send in the following items:

  • Proof of earned and unearned income -- (ex. Social Security award letter, pay stubs for 8 weeks, child support, SNAP/TANF benefits letter, etc)
  • 6 months of checking account information
  • Most current savings account statement

Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Long-Term Rental Assistance Program

The Tenant Based Rental Assistance program is a rental program designed to assist households with their housing expenses, while they focus on becoming self-sufficient. The program is able to assist families by providing assistance with security deposits and rental subsidies for up to 24 months. This program is available throughout our service area, except the City of San Angelo.

To Qualify for TBRA household must be willing to:

  • Participate in a Self-Sufficiency plan.

  • Must meet income qualifications

  • Live in one of the following counties: Coke, Concho, Crockett, Irion, Kimble, Menard, Reagan, Schleicher, Sterling, Sutton, or Tom Green (except the City of San Angelo). 

  

In order for your application to be considered you must send in the following items:
