CVCAA is proud to be participating in National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.
Many of our community members would probably be surprised to learn that there are around 200 homeless neighbors in San Angelo alone. And those are just the neighbors we know about. There are even more people who we don’t know who are living on the fringes, sleeping in cars, or wearing out their welcome on a friend’s couch.
We want to encourage our entire community to learn more about how hunger and homelessness impact our community and how they can be a part of the solution. We’ve planned an entire week of activities to help bring awareness and hopefully help each other understand exactly who our homeless neighbors are.
